KJELDGAARD - Lawrence M. Age 82, of Springville, died October 12, 2018. Beloved husband of Phyllis (nee Shade) Kjeldgaard; father of Ron (Ann Marie) Kjeldgaard, Linda (John) Zilliox, Dan Kjeldgaard, Lawrence Kjeldgaard; step-father of Thomas (Joanne) Brown, Sharon (John) Danna, Susan (Dale) Ziegelhofer, Shannon (Deb Seneway) Brown, Theresa (John Molnar) Ellington, Tammy (Stacy) Rice, Jill (Mike) McCoy; brother of Janet Valentine and the late Nelson and Louis D. Kjeldgaard; also survived by 15 grandchildren, one great-grandson, several nieces and nephews and the mother of his children, Martha L. Kjeldgaard. Monday, Oct. 15, at Cookeville First United Methodist Church. Rev. Drew Shelley and Rev. Rob Wheeler will officiate. Interment will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in Jackson County.The family will receive friends at the church today, Sunday, Oct. 14, from 4-8 p.m., and at the church Monday, Oct. 15, from noon until service time at 1 p.m.Mary Ann passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, at West Meade Place in Nashville, Tennessee.She was born Wednesday, Oct. 5, 1938, in Gainesboro, Tennessee, to the late Bill and Ruth Bain Wooten. She graduated from Jackson County High School and later married her high school sweetheart, Drue Huffines. They celebrated 61 years of marriage Oct. 26, 2017. They worked together in the radio station business, which they were co-owners of in Livingston and Cookeville.Mary Ann had a deep love for the Lord and her faith was witnessed daily. She was a church member and diligent worker in the Methodist churches she served in Gainesboro and Livingston, and most recently at Cookeville First United Methodist Church.She will be remembered for the love and care she bestowed on those around her. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, outstanding grandmother, and loyal friend. She enjoyed playing bridge for over 50 years with a special group of ladies she cherished.Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Drue Huffines; her daughter, Lucretia (Gary) Maxwell; two grandsons, Davis (Elisabeth) Maxwell, and Lee (Lindsay) Maxwell, all of Cookeville; brother, Billy (Jane Ellen) Wooten Jr. of Gallatin, Tennessee; uncle, Frank Bain of Baxter; and two nieces, Susan Wooten Ford of Collierville, Tennessee, and Brooke Wooten of Atlanta, Georgia.Pallbearers will be Charles Langford, Dan Huffines, Bob Gallaher, Jim Thompson, Mike Phipps, Dr. Steve Flatt, Billy Wooten, Jim Hawkins, Joe Hawkins, and Ed Halfacre.Honorary pallbearers will be Carol Langford, Joan Upchurch, Shelia Nelson, Matilda Speck, Alberta Dale, Carol Coleman, Sue Reynolds, Ginny and Garvin Smith, Patricia Leonard, Joel Upton, Frank Bain, Bett...
